Heading into nature (and we love of course the beach) is a chance to enliven your senses.
Sight, sound, touch, smell and taste can all be stimulated as we step away from our usual surrounds and all the things that our senses have become conditioned to.
Perhaps this contributes to why we can feel more invigorated and refreshed when heading into the outdoors – in tandem with getting some exercise of course.
The doorway to nature is through your senses.
Awakening your senses brings you into an expanded awareness, and a new richness of relationship with the world you are part of. Mindful awareness connects you to the moment, and with this presence, you can live more fully and bring your best forward.
Modern research demonstrates that we need contact with nature for our well-being. A lot of our designs are inspired by nature or things that happen with our planet or oceans.
Refocus and find calm
Finding a way to connect to nature daily, even for just 30 minutes, is so important to me. Connecting with nature gives me the freedom to explore and the encouragement to be mindful. I am able to refocus and find a moment of calm during my busy day when I am with nature.
One of my favorite quotes which really sums up the admiration I have for nature is this:
